If I wanted to buy a laptop that will let me play FM2016 and still sit and do what I need to do for the sites at the same time what kind of £ are we talking? I've seen people talk about the specs you need and it seems as if, if you're playing FM you can't do much else. And it would be the old school (basic) version of FM Ed001 has told me about.
Does Steam just open up a tab at the top of the screen like on Chrome and I could just click between screens like I do with por. I mean football stuff :)
I'm hoping it's not too expensive and the Mrs will treat me for my 21st in May.

{Ed001's Note - I use the full version and can tab out of it or use it windowed and work on the lappy at the same time. So long as it has an i7 processor and as much RAM as you can get (at the very least 8gb but preferably more) it should work fine. If you have a graphics processor that has its own dedicated RAM you should be fine. What you want to look for is last year's models being sold off cheaper somewhere. An older generation, such as 4th, version of the i7 processor will run quick enough but be much cheaper.}

James taverniers a beast in it ed007 ;)

{Ed007's Note - I thought the game was meant to be realistic? You need to have ambition in any FM game so I won't be signing players from the lower/junior leagues of Scotland.}

I remember asking you after it came out first what you made of the game ed. We're 6 months in now, what do you reckon? The best seasons I have had have been with Ajax. They have an unreal youth set-up and I like developing the young lads. I gave up on Liverpool after I got sacked at x-mas! Too much like hard work! Best player I have signed on it was Ajer, a young Norwegian chap. Turns out to be world class

{Ed007's Note - Kristoffer Ajer signed for Celtic during the January window, Macko. I've left your post sitting for Ed001 to answer you.}

{Ed001's Note - I haven't been able to play as much as I would like, have not had the time, only completed one season with Crewe and that is it. I did win promotion though, so I quite like it! Still not sure it is enough of an upgrade to deserve buying each year. I love the game but it is not making any real strides forward. If it wasn't for all the work they do scouting the players each year I would feel like I was being ripped off, as the game itself is almost the same as last year's.}

Ed007, I would recommend getting a desktop rather than a laptop, unless you absolutely need it for it's portability.

But, you can pick up reasonable laptops for around £400 which will play FM reasonably well.

{Ed007's Note - I don't think the Mrs would be too chuffed if I started putting desks in the living room (lounge), I'm still trying to talk her into letting me have another TV in there so I can watch TV and play my PS4 at the same time - what is it with women that they don't or can't use their common sense?}
