I spent a whole day just looking around 1 planet.i think it will be good once you have better ships and weapons but in the beginning its really about the basics like mining making warp cells and cracking codes to access computers.if you like the repetitiveness of something like world of Warcraft you would probably like it

I played a little No Mans Sky on my friends PS4, it seems like an enormous grind. I think I'll pass on it.

{Ed007's Note - I actually quite like the sound of it and will probably buy it at some point. I just bought The Division the day before NMS release or I would probably have it by now. I don't know if any of you are old enough to remember a game called Elite on the old home computers but I'm getting the impression that No Mans Sky might be along the same lines as that, a lot more fancier and in depth right enough but just the exploring with no real end or limit to the game.
BTW, I bought The Division on the say so of Ed001 and must admit I'm loving playing it so far although I think it might become a bit repetitive after a while, a long while right enough.}

NMS to me is a mixture of Elite Dangerous and Minecraft. Additionally, it's a terrible port on PC according to a friend of mine. He's got a GTX 1080, i7 6700k Skylake and he's having performance issue's. They're meant to be releasing a couple of PC patches to help with performance and a few bugs that appeared but, if he's getting 20frames per second on that set up, I cba.

{Ed007's Note - He's got a what doing what what now? (blush) :=D This isn't Ed001 you're talking to now!}

Haha ok basically, his PC is immense, he's an enthusiast so has overclocked everything, running custom watercooling unit etc.

He gets lag when it should be seemless. It's like watching a video that's had the odd couple of seconds removed from it in random parts.

{Ed007's Note - Ah OK, got you now. That's crazy if you've got a top notch computer. I'll be happy enough with one that runs Football Manager lol.}

The pirates do scan your ship and interrupt your warps if you have precious cargo like in elite.just no courier jobs like elite which I miss but even though it's a grind and repetitive I can't stop playing it lol

{Ed007's Note - I loved Elite and spent years playing it on different platforms. I even tried - and failed - to figure out emulators to play it again. I'll be giving NMS a try.}

{Ed001's Note - the free to play version is likely to come to both Xbox One and PS4 in the future, yes. At least that is what the developer has said.}
