My accesment for the three FPS that are currently out.

1st new COD rubbish nothing new unrealistic and a complete twitch shooter

2. Titanfall 2 everything COD should be and far better for the modern futuristic shooter. Good campaign and great online.

3. Battlefield 1. Good campaign and amazing online! My favourite of the three (online) proper guns realistic fighting , superb maps and how a shooter should handle . The real successor from COD 3 and a pleasure to play

I really want BF1, going to get it soon I think looks excellent.

{Ed007's Note - Me too. I seen an advert the other night and said to the Mrs "What's this?" thinking it was a still to be released game, it looks awsome. I just finished Watchdogs 2 today and although I've got the new AC:Ezio Collection sitting and COD:Black Ops (I know, I know, I was late getting into them) I'll chance my arm to see if The Witch will let me buy BF1.}

BF1 is excellent! If you like flying a plane or driving a tank the campaign is satisfying . It brings WW1 to life and I was touched by it. But online is great. Realistic and it looks gorgeous. The guns are so great handle beautifully

Ive never been a great fan of a lot of FPS games. Especially cod (except big red one). I just find them all a bit samey( bit rich coming from a racing sim fan though)

However I have to admit I am tempted by Battlefield 1 as for me these have usually been the better of the various console options. Might pick one up when folk get fed up of it in a few months a bit cheaper.

I just got BF1, Problem now is waiting for the download! I have terrible internet so might take a couple of days, gutted lol

I certainly will do mate, seems to be downloading quicker then expected, going to leave it on and pop to the pub for the afternoon. Hopefully get on it tonight! I got a decent deal (for PC), it was around £33 from Instant Gaming, seems they have better prices then G2A these days.

Sorry to hear about your dark souls 3 experience ed07. I just bought the game last month and haven't completed it yet. funny part is the person I bought the game from had this game gifted to him by his cousin but was afraid to play it because of his experience from bloodborne. So managed to get the sealed new version of the game for a lot less. atleast I hope you gave the game a good try.

{Ed007's Note - Oh I did mate, I was at it for weeks. Even the first thing you had to fight, like dragon made of ice if I remember right, took me ages to get past. I think it was just a step too far for me lol.}

It is renowned for been difficult. I never got into it until after I played bloodbourne for been put off by how difficult it was supposed to be (especially when people said it was harder than ninja gaiden which I really struggled with) but I found if you treated it like you would an rpg then it is completely manageable. You tend to have the natural instinct to just play through the levels and not farm and level up! But you really have to or 95% of players would struggle. Also you have to summon help. There is always 2-3 bosses per game I can't do on my own. Sorry it didn't work out for you ed

Bf1 is a brill game, made me fall in love with fps again. The attention to detail is outstanding. Would prob wait till christmas to pick it up, amazon often do games deals during sales periods.

My BF1 is still downloading, taking ages. Should be done by the morning lol.

{Ed007's Note - Is this a dowload of the game from PSN or that or the actual installing/downloading when you fire the disk in? I put COD: Black Ops 3 on today and the bam took 83 mins fro the disk.}

I used to be lol! Me and my dad haven't spoke since I was 7. When my friends asked me where my father goes on a weekend I told them he was a rent boy trying to earn some money for the family! I was to ashamed to tell them he was going to anfield

I have had every battlefield game since battlefield 1942 and this one is probably the best.its simple things that please me like being able to actually lock the blast doors on bunkers and also being able to blow them open with limpet mines.theres also nothing quite as satisfying as riding through the battlefield on your horse and cutting people down with a sabre 😊
