Anyone on here tried H1Z1 on PS4? Been playing it for a few weeks now and I must say it's brilliant! The servers have been improving every week and the games running nice and smooth atm. Much more competitive than fortnite imo

A mate of mine plays it and loves it too. He brings his PS4 round to mine and plays it, when his misses is giving him grief lol.

Are you playing it on the pro Caolan? Apparently it runs far better on it. I played it when it came out on the regular ps4 and it was a bit of a mess but if they’ve improved it I’ll happily try it again.

Apparently it runs far better on ps4 pro giving pro players the advantage. I gave it a shot again in duos last night but it’s just not for me. It’s certainly better now than at was at launch but it’s too clunky and feels closer to a really good iOS game in comparison to fortnite which has been in development for a fraction of the time. The looting is disappointing with less than ten items to pick up and end game is always 5 cars and me. The fact that they promote the cars by showing them on the map irks me as well. I think right about now, if pubg jumped to ps4 it would kill H1z1 because as much as that game frustrates with glitches and issues, it’s far more enjoyable. One thing they could do is restrict the ridiculous amount of crate drops and instead drop said loot around the place in houses etc, it’s a big map, would be nice to have a reason to explore it. I dearly wanted to love this game but I just can’t.

I suppose it does come down to preference. Last night playing with my mates we were saying that whilst we love fortnite, you have to be able to build like crazy, as if you don’t you will not stand a chance. I enjoy H1 because I feel like you can play it in different ways, and feel like the loot crates promote action as you realistically need them to get the win.
Fortnite is definitely smoother and looks a much better game, although I’m enjoying the change playing H1, without the building to worry about I’m doing much better with regards to kills etc.

You are spot on about the building. I hate it too mate. Also getting tired of cartoony graphics. If you like H1z1 and have a decent pc, do check out pubg. Or if you have an xbone there’s a rough version as well.

Fortnite almost seems like a game for younger kids now lol. I’d love to get a gaming PC unfortunatley I just haven’t got the money right now

You know, I am yet to see why these "battle royal" games are so popular. They're not good games as it were, they have poor shooting mechanics, they have limited movement animations, the controls are clunky at best and the gameplay can be tedious and monotonous. Then if you look at the broken side of things, like the bugs, the updates which aren't wanted/needed, the toxicity of the majority of the players(same in most games).
There is nothing new about this genre of game, nothing unique and nothing innovative. I just don't get why these games are so popular.

Hsf for me the only two games I’ve ever gotten so invested into where fortnite and H1, getting towards the end and being the last person standing makes the heart rate go through the roof and the joy of winning is crazy! Well that’s for me anyway!

{Ed007's Note - They just seem so pointless to me, there's no gain in them and kids are spending fortunes on it for nothing except looking a bit different. You say the joy of winning is crazy but then what happens, you just start again with nothing and can be the first shot in the next round, there's no long term enjoyment in that for me.}

I only tend to play with my mates in them, I don’t really do to much by myself. I find it’s a good way to have craic sometimes more than a game with objectives etc. I think it’s because they’re new!

I haven’t played fortnite now in about 6 weeks but if you can do private games that could be another venture for us.

{Ed007's Note - From what I've seen on Twitch you can do all sorts, build your own team with mates, play 2 v 2 etc I've hardly played and haven't even managed a kill in the bloody thing :/

I played this with the clan I’m in but I don’t really like it.i went back to the beautiful graphics of battlefield 1

i love the battle royale concept, and let me share why, i no longer am capable of investing time into rpg despite it being one of my favourite type of game. the last game i truly finished was final fantasy 7. i loved skyrim to bits bt till this day i never manage to finish it, not even the main story, there are just too many games out there and i realise that i can no longer invest my time into rpgs, hence i occasionally watch people play it, just to understand the story and tbh, i'm happy just with that.

but pubg, realm royale provides a platform where i can game with friends without worrying about progression, as it repeats from 0 every single game. and while i do win sometimes, honestly the joy has been in games when we lose. of course, we are not pros and are just looking for some fun.

when i played world of warcraft, destiny, i needed my friends to be on par to go for dungeons together, raids. so even when everyone is online, is wasnt easy to play together. bt now that all of us barely have time to game, fifa and battle royale provide the right gaming concept for people like me.

its an easy game to just log in and get straight to the action, it is part of the reason why it is so popular, it attracts a lot more people. as good as skyrim is as an rpg, your general gamer out there simply will not pick it up for an hours fun as compared to say, even counter strike.

just my opinion.
