It's player unknown battlegrounds (with Lego) it's terrific fun, very smooth and considering it's completely free, def worth a shot.

2.) 04 Feb 2018 12:29:03
I never quite fancied it and thought that pubg would be better. But that’s done my head in. My son has started playing fortnight and after watching him on it I must say it looks a lot more well rounded than pubg. But it’s free I think so worth a punt mate. A few games taking my fancy coming out soon . Shadow of the colossus is a defo for me and I like the looks of Kingdom come deliverance .

Hello lads,does anyone on here play gtav online.just getting in to it myself.

I play it sporadically, it's good fun when you've got a couple of people to play it with. Sometimes you get good games with random people but it's hit and miss at times.

Lots of things to do, loads of ways to make money. Just don't pick up bags of money that are randomly appearing, otherwise you'll get banned(assuming it's a lot of money you get). It's mod-money which is spawned on a global scale by a cheater. Rockstar are coming down heavy on this.

I used to, got far too many hours clicked on it lol but now it's all bf1

I got the ps4 today,camw with gta5,is the online gta5 any good,and what good games are out now please if I may ask.

Leahy12

{Ed007's Note - I've never played GTA5 online (see previous posts about online gaming going over my head lol) but if you like GTA5 then Mafia 3 is a game you'll probably enjoy although it does get a bit of a repetitive/samey feeling after a while.
I'm a HUGE Assassins Creed fan and have been for years but according to Ed001 they're not up to much so it's all a bit of a personal choice.
Watchdogs 2 was a massive improvement on the first one, Tom Clancy's The Division is a fine game too, and the Uncharted series is top stuff if you like Indiana Jones type of stories, especially The Nathan Drake Collection which is the first 3 games in one pack and a total bargain. And if you like FRP games I'd definitely get Witcher 3.
Don't be going out and spending crazy money on games, when I first bought my PS4 I got a lot of bargains from the pre-owned section on the GAME website.

1.) 18 Dec 2016 14:54:05
Cheers ed that's where I bought a few today preowned,the fifa 17 is 70€,,
I went online with the gta5 there seems to me a lot of new updates there since I last played.
Im going to try witcher over the Christmas

{Ed007's Note - I never really fancied the COD games but I was looking for something to play and they were cheap. I've got them all now except the newest one. I think the Black Ops cost me £12 but I had £3 in rewards so got it for £9.
CEX and Gamescentre are two other good sites for pre-owned games.}

2.) 18 Dec 2016 17:49:35
Rpg's - witcher 3/ final fantasy15
Stealth shooter - metal gear solid 5 / deus ex
Multiplayers - battlefield 1 / titanfall 2 / overwatch
Mmorpg shooters - destiny / the division
Adventure - uncharted / tomb raider
Fps - wolfenstein / metro series / doom / killzone
Zombie rpg - dying light
Horror stealth - alien isolation
Stealth - dishonored 2
Remastered - last of us / bioshock
Challenging - dark souls 2,3 / bloodborne.

{Ed001's Note - Fallout 4?}

3.) 18 Dec 2016 18:39:03
Yes fallout 4 top game.
Also point and click/ puzzle games if you might be interested - life is strange / heavy rain / the witness / talos principle / until dawn / soma.

4.) 21 Dec 2016 04:23:23
personally, I would say avoid mafia 3 for now. was so excited for the game, but other than good cinematics & cut scenes, it really isn't that good, disappointed as mafia 2 was one of my favourite games.

GTA 5 is a way better game, way better experience. and i'm hearing really good things about watchdogs 2.

battlefield 1 is a really good game, i'm really bad at fps but I am really enjoying this game. I suppose if rainbow six siege is on console its worth a shot too, its already in its 2nd season pass.

5.) 21 Dec 2016 23:17:25
Have to agree with kaizer on mafia 3 so hyped up and it's basically style over substance.i lost interest very quickly unlike battlefield 1 which I can't stop playing

{Ed007's Note - I said the same a couple of weeks ago, it became a chore to complete it but I was too far gone to not see it through. I was very disappointed in it.
I'm just going to get started on The Ezio Collection tomorrow, I bought it when it came out but was playing through Watchdogs and a cheap COD 3 Black Ops(?) I picked up. Then I had the new laptop to set up... :-( it wasn't pretty....}

6.) 22 Dec 2016 05:31:53
yeap hoody and ed007, I must say I am really disappointed, because of how good mafia 2 was to me. and I only played the game like last year I believe, bought it for cheap on steam, a game created years ago felt much better than a recently created game in mafia 3, says a lot about mafia 3 really.

{Ed007's Note - I think a lot of PS4 games look great but they forget about the gameplay. Here's a recap of what I wrote about it back in October and I don't think I'd change any of it:

{Ed007's Note - To be honest I'm disappointed in it mate. When the first bars of Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower started playing I was rubbing my hands and since then the best thing has been the 60's soundtrack you can get from the radio when you drive. The Rolling Stones, Dylan and Johnny Cash are all in there but there's so few songs they get repetitive quickly - much like the game I'm sad say to say.
I've been hammering it for days now but and there's nothing in it that's not been done a hundred times over the years, and it's far easier to complete missions sneaking around doing stealth kills - which are beautifully gory and violent but get boring very quickly as well - rather than going in all guns blazing shooting up anything that moves. You die very quickly and need to start at the beginning of the mission rather than a checkpoint and it seems to take an age to reload.
The driving is just normal bog standard driving we've seen in every GTA/Watchdogs and although the police chase you now and again all you need to do is get out the car and hide behind a building etc to escape. You seem to need to return to the same place and redo missions but the mission has a different name and maybe a 'boss' in it.
A bizarre part of the game is where you need to collect 'electronics' dotted around the city as you play so that you can place wire taps on phones, I've still to find out out why though, and you also collect Playboys, car magazines and album covers from the era, all which don't seem to do anything to help the game/story along.
I've still not found out what I'm meant to do with any the money I've collected and stashed, you can only have certain cars in your 'garage' and it looks like there's only 6 in the whole game, you get a new car for completing a certain area and taking over the turf, which you then give to other people to run, it's all a bit vague storywise.
I've reached a point where I've done all the small area missions and seem to be going after the actual Mafia now so I'll see how it goes but I can see me going back to complete AC Unity and using Mafia 3 as a time filler until Watchdogs 2 and the new AC games come out next month.
Just to be a pretentious knob and to make myself look as if I know what doing I'm going to give it a mark out of 10 :-D

Mafia III: 6/10 but could yet improve.....

It didn't improve.....

7.) 22 Dec 2016 22:08:47
Did you ever try playing a game called the saboteur ed007?

{Ed007's Note - From back in the old ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 days? Wasn't that like a pre-cursor to The Last Ninja games?}

8.) 22 Dec 2016 23:06:01
No it's a pc PS3 Xbox 360 game.its like GTA but set in nazi occupied Paris

{Ed007's Note - Ah right, no mate sorry.}

9.) 22 Dec 2016 23:53:56
If you see it second hand it's a good game

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

10.) 23 Dec 2016 18:50:55
That game was really good at the time ,altho I fear it might not have aged well

{Ed007's Note - Bit like Ed001 then? :-D

09 Dec 2016 01:08:41
Slb i'm after thinking of another 2 games back then.
Bobble bobble and circus charlie

Leahy12

{Ed007's Note - I completed Bubbls Bobble in the arcade.}

1.) 09 Dec 2016 02:00:19
Bubble bobble that was it
Bond your showing your age as well

{Ed007's Note - I'm 42, Leahy and have been playing games for at least 35 years, I remember having computers like the Vic-20, Dargon 32, a weird Texas Instruments thing I've no idea where my dad pulled it from, the old Atari V2600 with Smurf and The Empirs Strikes Back game people seem to have forgotten.

This page is bringing back memories of the first game I played,running down to the casino after school to play donkey kong,
And a karate game I forget the name of it.
And then there was bomb jack.asteroids,
Paperboy,
Great games

Leahy12

{Ed001's Note - I remember Paperboy, but I was in primary school then, how old are you?}

1.) 08 Dec 2016 21:17:14
Im 41 years young ed,
That bomb jack was a great game,you needed a certain skill to control that game and stay on the machine as long as you could,after all it was 10 pence a game.

{Ed001's Note - I honestly do not remember games like that and I am a year older than you. I remember them on the Speccy and C64, but not at arcades. But then I had to catch a bus back from school at that age, used to take a couple of hours to get home, and I was always outside with a ball when I did get a chance.}

2.) 08 Dec 2016 21:18:43
I also remember paperboy, loved Donkey Kong that was just pure class lol also used to love Street Fighter I think it was on the Sega along with Columns (addictive as hell) and Mortal Kombat

{Ed001's Note - I remember the handheld Donkey Kongs, used to get passed around the bus everyone taking turns on the way home from school.}

3.) 08 Dec 2016 21:20:09
The karate game you might be on about could be a game called black belt on the master system. I loved altered beast on that system . Alex the kid games and the wonder boy games

{Ed001's Note - was Black Belt the one you fought in front of prayer gates?}

4.) 08 Dec 2016 21:26:22
It was a scroll beat em up! You would go through a level and have a mid way boss and an end of level boss. Played very much like a basic altered beast but with ninja stuff instead of ghouls. And now I remember ghouls and ghosts . God it's taking me back to my childhood. It's never been as good since

{Ed001's Note - ah yes now I remember. Not my thing the side scrollers, I never liked them. My best mate was addicted to Altered Beast but I never really enjoyed it.}

5.) 08 Dec 2016 21:30:19
Streets of rage was a decent fighting game as well

6.) 08 Dec 2016 21:33:20
Slb there's a blast from the past wander boy that one would definitely be my number 1,i loved that game.

7.) 08 Dec 2016 21:33:37
I was a baby back then ed! You would have already been conscious of what your thing was then! You born in 74 I take it

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, 74 a great year, it was the last time Man Utd were relegated..... Sorry Leahy!}

8.) 08 Dec 2016 22:05:56
Haha! Indeed a great year Ed1

9.) 08 Dec 2016 22:19:13
You remember Alex the kid leahy?

10.) 08 Dec 2016 23:05:24
I do indeed he was some kid

11.) 08 Dec 2016 23:37:14
You wouldn't want to play Rock Paper Scissors against him lol

12.) 08 Dec 2016 22:05:54
Ouch ed,came straight back,even beat liveroool in the fa cup in 77

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate, couldn't resist.}

13.) 08 Dec 2016 22:08:48
Haha love it ed! All my teenage /adult life that bloody club have dominated . It's hard not to dislike them . My old man is Liverpool and my first ever strip was the silver crown paints one. I turned coat and been a gooner since

{Ed001's Note - how could you?}

14.) 09 Dec 2016 07:49:32
I'm sorry to say I can tell you the exact moment. Michael Thomas goal1989 was it. I was 6 or 7 and have been a gooner ever since

{Ed001's Note - I remember that goal well, devastating moment.}

15.) 09 Dec 2016 14:31:06
It was for my poor old dad as well ed! He lost the league and a son all in one foul swoop.

{Ed001's Note - well I am not so sure he lost out on the second bit! ;-)
