I don't think there is any mate, pity as you can lose days in a decent football management game like the old champ/football manager.

I've just purchased fm 17 for the lappy. Only 18 quid at Tesco. Anyone been playing it? I know ed001 likes them, you been playing this year mate? Any good wonderkids you can recommend?

{Ed001's Note - I did get a copy of it, but only because it was free and have to admit I have not been able to get into it at all. The 'improvements' they keep making just make it look flashy but not play better. I don't think I will bother getting it again for a few seasons, when they might actually have some upgrades that aren't just annoying gimmicks.}

The problem with fm 17 is that it has become more of an in match tactical game which means its very difficult to play on the key, extended, etc highlights. You have to play each game for the full duration of 90 minutes in real time in game which can take you 40 mins to complete a game. It took me a month to complete my first season.
I think you will enjoy it more playing the game for the full 90 min duration but be ready to spend a lot of time.

{Ed001's Note - I don't have the time for that. I think I will just give up on FM now as a game.}

FM 17 is a great game if you have the time to play the main game. There is the "Touch" (I think it's called) version of it too which is the quicker version of it.
I don't enjoy the 3-D match engine one bit though I must say, so tend to use 2-D as attributes look more realistic on 2-D if that makes sense.
It's very realistic this year (especially the crazy transfer fees).
I don't find it that difficult to play in all honesty so long as you're meticulous in your training and tactical set ups.
One trick I've always used is to play 3 CBs, no full backs.
This allows you to sell any full backs in your squad straight away to get some transfer money in to strengthen other areas.
Usually have a pretty slow start to a league campaign as the team adapts to this tactic, but once they're comfortable with it, we take over around October. so long as you bought well of course.
Best wonderkid I found this year was Lautaro Martinez I think is his name, (Lautaro is definitely his first name) a striker from Argentina - so long as you get a WP for him or can loan to a Spanish club (he gets a WP after 730 days or so in Spain).
Woodburn was excellent as well this year or a good under the radar prospect was Tomas Buitink or something (young striker from Holland) who will make you a nice profit if you loan him out in season one and/or two as he develops very quickly in all of my saves - have seen him sold for 40 to 50 million in season 3 a couple of times now.
