Nah Atari suck but it will be interesting to see what the console actually turns out like

I am as with most consoles. From what I've read it's based on PC tech

Yeah pc based usually just means off the shelf components,they don't really have any good Dev's to make games either only thing I could see giving them a chance is having steam on it but we already had steam boxes and they failed big time

Steam boxes haven't failed mate, they are growing slowly. I really wouldn't write them off completely just yet.

Yeah maybe they'll take off but I can't really see it, supposedly sold under 1 million units in like 16 months ,the switch,PS4 and Xbox all sold that like in a week

{Ed001's Note - different market mate. They were never going to compete with the major consoles, they have a longer term game in mind. I do agree that what they have put out so far is not ideal for most, but it is about being a feeder to PC gaming and the Steam DRM mechanism really.}

Yeah I think the prices kinda put people off,for the price you'd be as well just buying a pc and hooking it up to your tv

{Ed001's Note - they are all just PCs really, as are consoles. Not top rank PCs though. You are always better with a really good PC, it is just the cost is too much for most.}

Would it not be something like Nintendo then? catering to a very specific market?

{Ed001's Note - the suggestion I read about was it would be aimed at the nostalgia market.}

ah right, its definitely not for me then.

but its good to hear though, as i'm sure there are people out there who would love to get their hands on it.

{Ed001's Note - it is not for me either, my nostalgia doesn't quite stretch that far back.}
