But what's everyones favourite console? I was a sucker for the dreamcast, It was a much better console then its figures suggest.

My cousin has bought every console ever! Or just about! He has always bought 5-6 games a month and he swears the dreamcast was the best! Me I really couldn't tell you! I have had every Nintendo, sega, Microsoft and Sony (apart from PS2 funnily enough) and the odd Atari , spectrum and omega and commodore . I could do a top 5 in no order

Snes
Master system
N64
PS4 pro
Xbox360

Too young to appreciate fully the older ones although used to love them

Cousin know what he's talking about. Truly underrated console with one of my favourite game so far all time. Shenmue. Never had the 64, ps2 was a great console and so was the Xbox 360.

Currently got the PS4 but don't feel as attached to it as I did with my previous consoles. Think that could just me growing up and the latest games aren't really my cup of tea.

I think my favorites was the sega & the n64, n64 was fantastic. I'll never forget, I got it for my birthday. Usually my birthday fell on Easter holidays so I was never at school but the year I got the N64 was the first time I was actually at school so was gutted opening it in the morning, knowing I couldn't play it till later on that day, had a quick go in the morning on that james bond game lol.

I'm a pc gamer now and don't touch consoles but yeah I appreciated the 360, was a fantastic console but can't really comment on the newest ones.

Dreamcast is probably my alltime fav console as well so far ahead of its time tbh and the amount of games it had in its 3 year life was phenomenal after that it's prob the mega drive and snes ,

Lfc16? Must admit I have looked into pc gaming, but I just can't afford that initial outlay, really want to play planet coaster.

And lilbill, what would you pick as your favourite games?

{Ed001's Note - most bottom end pcs will run the older games mate. It is only if you want the latest games running at the highest quality you need a proper out and out gaming machine. You can usually adjust in-game settings to make even high end games run at a lower quality so you can still play them. There are so many older games around, such as old Champ Mans etc, for free, that there really is no need to ever pay for a pc game.}

a pc really isn't that expensive to build on your own, just don't fall for the hype of those high end parts, if your going to play on a cheap tv/monitor. infact in most cases, parts that are outdated by a year can still last you a couple of years from now.

with AMD so far behind Intel & NVIDIA there's barely about or less than 10% improvement on new parts every year. although i'm hoping that might change moving forward.

competition between them (amd & intel/nvidia, sony & microsoft) will only benefit us, the consumers, both in terms of quality and price too.
