Hi everyone, have been reading here for a while but this is my first post. I will be getting myself a few games next week in preparation for a few weeks off from uni over christmas and have a few questions.

1) Is Witcher 3 worth getting seeing as I haven't played 1 or 2? It looks like a great game but I hate playing a game I don't understand

2) Is Battlefield 4 worth buying? (Anybody that has the game please give an opinion)

3) Finally what other games would everyone recommend me getting? i'm on a Ps4 btw

Thanks for any replies

Going into the witcher 3 blind would get confusing and not allow you to fully enjoy the game. Best thing will be to read a bit about what happend in the first two parts on the internet if you won't be able to play them instead.

What type of games do you like?

Would I be able to catch up on the storyline easily by watching youtube videos and the like?

All games really, games like far cry and assassins creed (except unity) would probably be my favourites, with far cry 4 topping my list. Although I do fancy a sports game or a shooter now and again

Yes you will find story recap videos on youtube which should be enough.

U can have a look at shadow of mordor, fallout 4, killzone shadowfall, last of us and uncharted collection for the ps4.

Get the last of us mate, with them games you've listed, you should love it. It's one of the best games ever made in my opinion. Let us know if you play it though.

Battlefield 4 was great but I don't think that many play it now.

I never played 1 or 2, only witcher 3. There are references to the other 2 but nothing that you'll even bat an eye lid at. It's a great game and for £30 an absolute bargain if you get it pre-owned.

Before you start the game it goes over the outline of what the witcher is, but this campaign (minus a couple of characters) has no relevance to the first 2 games.

Witcher 3 is brilliant, it's not essential to play 1, or 2 but like mentioned earlier might bring the world to life a little more. If it's PS4 then there is only one real answer and that's get BLOODBORNE its the best game out for new gen, and I can only think that witcher 3 got game of the year on the account that bloodborne is difficult because it is no where near as good but good all the same
